{"id":10106,"date":"2021-05-18T23:12:29","date_gmt":"2021-05-18T22:12:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/staging-site.42crunch.com\/?p=10106"},"modified":"2022-11-28T14:22:13","modified_gmt":"2022-11-28T14:22:13","slug":"42crunch-api-security-platform-may-2021-release","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/staging2022.42crunch.com\/42crunch-api-security-platform-may-2021-release\/","title":{"rendered":"42Crunch API Security Platform May 2021 Release"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Our May 2021 update just went live, and I am here to tell you the details.<\/p>\n<h3>Updated CI\/CD plugins and repository data in the platform<\/h3>\n<p>42Crunch provides off-the-shelf <a href=\"https:\/\/42crunch.com\/free-tools\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">plugins for a variety of CI\/CD pipelines<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>These can discover OpenAPI files in the repository, upload them to the 42Crunch platform, perform Security Audit, and succeed or fail depending on the audit results.<\/p>\n<p>We have released new major versions of these plugins:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>For API collections and APIs created and updated by the plugins, the 42Crunch user interface now shows their repository information: repository, branch, and path<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-11472\" src=\"https:\/\/staging2022.42crunch.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/api_collections_repository.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"965\" height=\"195\" srcset=\"https:\/\/staging2022.42crunch.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/api_collections_repository.png 965w, https:\/\/staging2022.42crunch.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/api_collections_repository-300x61.png 300w, https:\/\/staging2022.42crunch.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/api_collections_repository-768x155.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 965px) 100vw, 965px\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>On subsequent runs, the plugins automatically update the API collection created for this repository and branch. APIs deleted from the branch get removed, new APIs added, existing APIs updated to the latest version of the OpenAPI file.<\/li>\n<li>You can set up the plugins to create these branch collections as private or share them with your organization.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>See our <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.42crunch.com\/latest\/content\/concepts\/ci_cd_integration.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CI\/CD documentation<\/a> for details.<\/p>\n<h3>Security Audit improvements: Better loose pattern detection, 406 response check<\/h3>\n<p>We keep improving our static analysis &#8211; 42Crunch Security Audit.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/docs.42crunch.com\/latest\/content\/oasv3\/datavalidation\/schema\/v3-schema-string-loosepattern.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Loose string pattern<\/a> check now goes beyond the proverbial .* and .+ and covers many more similar patterns.
